CES Activities
There were many activities throughout the school year on the journey to Affirmation. Teachers and students were active participants in seeing that the principle "student as worker-teacher as coach" was embraced by all.
Professional development was provided by Dr. Mary Helen Spiri to all grade levels and then more specifically to grades two and four. This professional development was either in the CFIP forum or through the use of substitutes for a full day of immersion into curriculum and assessment.
Grade 5 held a mini-exhibition in which students presented information to students and staff in a debate format. Parents were invited in to meet the students and listen to their arguments.
